Strength beyond Our Own

Elder David A Bednar's talk is wonderful. He speaks of spiritual strength, and I know he speaks the truth. I LOVE my Savior SO much, and I know he loves me for who I am. I also LOVE every single one of you who is reading this. You are a child of God, who will strengthen you and lift you up!

"There is no physical pain, no anguish of soul, no suffering of spirit, no infirmity or weakness that you or I ever experience during our mortal journey that the Savior did not experience first. You and I in a moment of weakness may cry out, “No one understands. No one knows.” No human being, perhaps, knows. But the Son of God perfectly knows and understands, for He felt and bore our burdens before we ever did. And because He paid the ultimate price and bore that burden, He has perfect empathy and can extend to us His arm of mercy in so many phases of our life. He can reach out, touch, succor—literally run to us—and strengthen us to be more than we could ever be and help us to do that which we could never do through relying upon only our own power.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
“Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
“For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28–30).
I declare my witness of and appreciation for the infinite and eternal sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ. I know the Savior lives. I have experienced both His redeeming power and His enabling power, and I testify that these powers are real and available to each of us. Indeed, “in the strength of the Lord” we can do and overcome all things as we press forward on our journey of mortality." -Elder David A Bednar

Using New Media to Support the Work of the Church by Elder M Russell Ballard

Welcome to my blog! Hi, my name is Sarah Foote, and I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In fact, I happen to be a Beehive in Young Womens, and I am striving towards my Personal Progress YW Medallion. As I draw ever closer to that ultimate goal, I am faced with the daunting issue of my Choice and Accountability project. After many Facebook, Pinterest, and other blog searches, I finally found a project idea suitable for me and my interests. And that project idea was this- Read “Using New Media to Support the Work of the Church” by Elder M. Russell Ballard and start a blog. So, now I am here, after reading Elder M Russell Ballard's WONDERFUL talk, and about to fulfill the second part of my project. I have created 2 other blogs before, and I am VERY excited for this one. My goal is to regularly post spiritual thoughts that have inspired me and will hopefully inspire you, about twice a week. I appreciate all of the support I can receive in this, including ideas for posts and recommendations to people you know. Thank you so much, and I hope to achieve something much bigger than just a project out of this.
